Discovery Cove's Exciting Camp Experience

For kids entering 3rd – 6th grade
August 4 – 7, 2011

Summer is quickly approaching! We have already been busily at work planning this year's Camp TEN:10 for children who will be entering 3rd through 6th grade. This year's theme is "Battle Ready!" We will explore the experiences of biblical characters in the Old Testament who were battle ready for God – Gideon, Joshua and Deborah. Our evening worship time (all campers) will focus on how we, as Christians today, can be Battle Ready. We are so excited about the plans that are being made as we once again team up with the leadership and children from Bammel Road, Memorial, and Conroe Churches of Christ and joining us this year is Nichols St. Church of Christ from Bay City.

Our campsite is again, in Trinity, Texas. Our kids loved the camp and we plan to be here for years to come. It is nestled on the shores of Lake Livingston and offers many wonderful opportunities for fun and learning for our kids. As you know, camp doesn't happen without parent volunteers. If you are interested in being a counselor for camp, please email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. We will have a mandatory training on July 31 for all counselors here, at West Houston Church of Christ from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. We will offer more details for this later in the summer.

Early bird registration is $145 per camper. After July 10, the cost is $160. No registrations will be accepted after July 24. (This is at Trinity Pines request – sorry, no exceptions.) We will leave West Houston early the morning of August 4th, and arrive back on the 7th just at the end of worship service. I have reserved an air-conditioned, 55 passenger school bus. Since the drive is approximately one and one half hours, this shouldn't be too arduous for the children! I encourage you to start praying and planning now for your child or grandchild to attend, as it promises to be an experience they will not soon forget!
