The West Houston Women’s Ministry is a fellowship that provides a place for women to grow spiritually, develop deeper relationships with other women and serve Christ with their unique gifts.

Upcoming Events

• 2012 Women’s Ministry Kickoff "Dana and Dessert"

  Please join us Friday, February 10 at 7 pm in the Chapel for the 2012 Women's Ministry kickoff meeting.  We hope you sense the excitement and the anticipation of growing closer to God and to each other in 2012 as we Seek God, Serve Others, and Share Jesus together.  Our speaker, Dana Grubb, author of Changed by Jesus, will bring us a message about Unity.  Dana is a member of Northside Church of Christ in San Antonio, Texas.

  Coffee and dessert will be provided in the Coffee Bar area after our meeting. We look forward to an evening with our West Houston sisters!

• Wednesday Night Ladies Class begins February 15 at 7:00 p.m.  “Ephesians: Unity of the Spirit” taught by Susan Cutshall.
• March 24 - Spanish Ladies Bible Conference - 9:00 a.m. @ WHCC - Service opportunity to reach out to our Spanish sisters and help them host this event!
• March 7-11 - Impact Garage Sale @ Trader's Village - Service opportunity - March 7-9 Set-Up  March 10-11 Garage Sale
• April 21 - Sisters in Service (SIS) – Women’s Ministry Service Day

Ministry Spotlight

• Heart to Heart  This ministry strives to serve others using our kitchen skills, although cooking skills are not required. In this ministry, we work on cookie jar gifts, first time guest gifts, senior lunches and various other outreaches. We generally meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month and would love to see some new faces. For more information, contact Chris Leinweber (281.290.0525) or Raylene Blasingame (281.255.4547).

• Hands of Hope - If you are interested in being a mentor to a CFISD teen mom, please contact Lori Reynolds (281.463.9799). The time commitment will be small and the rewards will be great (and no tutoring involved)! If you have a heart for teen girls please consider trying this for the spring semester.
